BUY AMERICAN! BUY LOCALLY!

If we are to help ourselves in these times of economic downturn…we need to start supporting our family’s here in the great USA. Whether you are looking for a new car, groceries, or even pet supplies, try to read where the product is manufactured. I went in to a local pet store the other day to find a simple food dish for my Yorkie Pup. The label read, “Made in China”. I passed it up. I kept looking until I found something that will work for food and water for my pup that was made in America. Thinking like a Builder, I went to a local Granite company that made Dogie Bowls from Granite. PERFECT! Not only made in America, but made locally. I refuse to buy from a country that “taints” its milk or puts lead in its products to cut cost in order to compete in the world market. I support countries where there is a more favorable trade balance with the USA and safer products. I am a “Green Builder”. Supplies that I put in my houses are for the most part, “Made In USA”. One of the products I use is Mortairvent. A “Green” product to help with mold problems associated with manufactured stone and other similar products. My stone comes from a manufacturer right here in Springfield, Mo. My Granite, wood floors, trim are all made right here in the Ozarks. I check all labels, Buy not only American, but also buy from Local suppliers. Do I pay more? NO! When you consider the life and quality of American products over products made in China, I pay less. Whether you are looking for a new car or just a simple dogie dish, American made products are by far the best buy. Have you compared insurance between an Infinity and a Chevy Trailblazer? Have you tried to buy parts or had service work on a foreign car only to get shocked by the cost? My friends 2002 Infinity insurance cost more than my 2005 Yukon! I am on my 5th car purchased from Thompson Sales right here in Springfield, Mo. Better service, better product, less breakdowns, Locally owned, cheaper insurance compared to foreign cars, and supporting my community. From the salesman, to service, to the owners of the dealership, to the factory worker in Detroit, I have supported many Americans and their families by just this one purchase. Please try to start buying Locally and American! If you have a comment, please leave here in my message board. Happy Holiday’s!!
